Scandinavian Pentecostal Mission Thailand
With the full gospel to all nations!
HISTORY
Scandinavian Pentecostal Mission (SPM) was founded in June 1969 by four Scandinavian denominations: Interact Sweden (EvangeliskaFrikyrkan, previously Örebromissionen), Swedish Pentecostal Mission (Pingst Sverige), Norwegian Pentecostal Mission (PinsebevegelsenMisjon Norge) and The Danish Tabor Church, Copenhagen (Taborförsamlingen). The Tabor Church ended their participation in SPM in the early 2000 while the other founding members are still working together to reach out in Thailand.
SPM was an active part of the founding of The Evangelical Fellowship of Thailand (EFT) and has been a member in EFT since the start in June 1969.
GOALS
SPM’s goal is the same as the goals of EFT: to plant new churches and to participate in building up the local churches and communities in Thailand through:
- Promoting coordination and cooperation among Christians.
- Promoting the propagation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Promoting the spiritual growth of Christians.
- Promoting the production and use of Christian mass media.
- Promoting social welfare and acts of public service.
Ministry
SPM is doing ministry together with Thai local churches, organizations and partners, mainly within the framework of EFT.
Missionaries
SPM have about 30 missionaries in Thailand that are sent out from Scandinavia and other parts of the world.
